Arts Alive 2019


Fireside Stories Publishing is pleased to participate, again this year, in the Arts Alive Festival in Downtown Langley.

Bruce & Ken will be manning Booth #100, selling their wares and ready and willing to sign copies of their many children’s adventure books.

Along with over 200 other vendors and performing artists, Fireside Stories Publishing will participate in the 26th Annual event… which is (again) FREE, and located between 204th and 206th Streets, along Fraser Highway, In the heart of Downtown Langley!

It all happens on August 17th, from 10 am to 5 pm.

Arts Alive 2018

Just a quick reminder that Bruce and Ken will be selling and signing their children’s adventure books at Arts Alive, again this year.

The fun happens in the heart of Langley, on Fraser Hwy, between 204th and 206th Streets.

Be there on Saturday, August 18th between 10 am and 5 pm.

The Fireside Stories Publishing booth is Stall # 99, near Salt Lane.

Summer Book Signing Dates

Bruce Kilby, children’s author, will be available to sign books at a number of Summer events, in the months of July, August and early September.

He will have copies of his three children’s adventure books: Legend of the Tooth Fairy, The Witch of Weasel Warren & The Secret of the Eternal Dragon.

August Book Events

Langley children’s authors Bruce Kilby and Ken Johnson will be at a few upcoming events in the Pacific Northwest, throughout the month of August:

Arts Alive – Langley, BC

Saturday, August 20th

10 am to 5 pm

The festival takes place along Fraser Highway between 204th & 206th Streets!
With over 200 visual and performing artists, this “must attend festival” has become a signature event in the Lower Mainland. This free, family event features live musical performances, authors, artists and artisans showcasing a myriad of mediums, live demonstrations, a children’s venue and special performance surprises throughout the day!
Visual Artists & Artisans: Exciting new work from the finest painters, potters, sculptors and jewellery designers.
Arts Alive Showcase Stage: All-day musical performances in McBurney Plaza
Children’s Fun Park: Balloon twisters, face painters, bouncy castles, a FREE photo booth, chalk art & more!


Drayton Harbor Days – Blaine,WA

Saturday August 6th & Sunday August 7th

10am – 5pm

On the first Saturday and Sunday every August, Drayton Harbor Days Waterfront Festival brings together family, friends, and the community for a celebration of Maritime fun.

There are arts & crafts vendors, authors, kid’s activities, Plover ferry rides, boat displays and more.

All events this year will take place at the Blaine Marina – 235 Marine Drive, in Blaine… just off 1-5, exit 276.

Arts Alive in Langley

Bruce will have a booth, at Langley’s Arts Alive, on Saturday, August 15th, from 10 am to 5 pm.

The fun takes place in Downtown Langley, where, for one day, Fraser Highway from 204th to 206th is completely closed off to vehicles, and there are ALL kinds of booths, music, food and fun!

Bruce Kilby will be there, with copies of his two books… The Legend Of The Tooth Fairy… and The Witch Of Weasel Warren.

Bruce’s booth is near 206th Street, at “Spot # 87.”

Summer Events

On Wednesday, July 1st, I invite you to join us at the second annual Festival of the Book, running from 11 am to 3 pm, at Fort Langley Community Hall.

  • City of Langley Art’s AliveAugust 15th – Location TBA. (Arts Alive is a street festival, held annually, on Fraser Hwy in Downtown Langley, between 204th and 206th Streets.)
  • Otter Co-OpOctober 17th – 248th and Fraser Hwy  – From 9 am to 3 pm, outside the main entrance.

Arts Alive & Chapters Book Signings

Authors Ken Johnson and Bruce Kilby will be participating in the 2014 Arts Alive Festival in Langley, on Saturday, August 16th, between 10 am and 1:55 pm, signing copies of their popular children’s adventure book “Legend of the Tooth Fairy”.  Their booth will be located at 56th and Salt Lane. "Legend of the Tooth Fairy" book signing at the 2014 Arts Alive Festival in Langley From 2pm to 5 pm, on the same afternoon, Bruce & Ken will be at the Langley Chapters Store, for a book signing. The Langley Chapters Store is located at Unit 115 – 20015 Langley Bypass, Langley.  (The NE corner of 200th & Langley Bypass) Hope to see you at one of these events!
